Nipissing University invites applications for part-time course instructors for Winter 2026 positions to teach in the Indigenous Education Program (online).
Qualifications:
- Have completed a Bachelor of Education, Masters, PhD in Education or a related field;
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience, as evidenced by a teaching philosophy, strong teaching evaluations, and/or other relevant achievements related to teaching;
- Be certified as a registered teacher with the appropriate licensing authority (e.g. Ontario College of Teachers).
- Indigenous knowledge is valued and considered an asset in this role. We welcome applicants and strongly encourage applications, which may include self-identification in a covering letter from Indigenous peoples, who can contribute diverse perspectives and insights.
Duties:
- Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the portion of the course to which they are assigned
- Will be available to meet with students outside of the official classroom time
- Complete mandatory training requirements, review and follow Nipissing University's policies and procedures
