Position Title: Additional Qualification (AQ) Course Instructor
Faculty: Faculty of Education & Professional Studies
School: Schulich School of Education (In-Service)

Start Date: February 4, 2026
End Date: April 24, 2026

Qualifications:

  • Master of Education or the AQ, Specialist Qualification or Subject Division within the subject discipline. 
  • Recent and relevant experience as a classroom teacher, principal, or board consultant within the last 5 years. 
  • Certification as a registered teacher with the appropriate licensing authority (e.g. Ontario College of Teachers).

Duties:

  • Responsible for all instruction and evaluation of the course to which they are assigned.
  • Complete mandatory training requirements and review and follow Nipissing University’s policies and procedures.

Course Available:

Credits: 6
Instructional Hours Per Week: 125 hours total, approximately 10-12 hours of instruction/week.
